I think everybody is tired of me listing my languages but here’s this I recorded for the European day of languages My language course books, ( not all of them but most)…I could post another reel with reading book cause I got a bunch as well. I thought of this as answer to @mapetidye regarding frustration with having unfinished books. The frustration is massive and everytime I’m looking at the Icelandic and Finnish books thinking I have to do something with them. 😭 and honestly write down everything from all books is something I always want to do. Do you know others? Find more funny false friends on chiaraofthenorth.com (link in bio :) I tried to collect here some (and notable compound words with them)… I unironically hope I will not get flagged for this post Here is a very quick summary of what I wrote in my article about the Faroese language, focused on a comparison with Icelandic. You find it on my website (link in bio 🤗) 🇫🇴 🇫🇴 🇮🇸 🇫🇴 🇫🇴 🇮🇸 It took a while but here is my @polyglotgathering diary. I wrote down the talks I went to (and wish I could go to but they overlapped with others @@ Finnish/estonian😭) some notes from talks! This was my third time but first time joining the whole gathering and I am really happy I did and wanna thank all the organisers for this 🙌 I tagged some of the people who gave interesting talks, but will mention them again in a more specific post about my favourite things ☺️. Hope to go to the polyglot Conference in Bologna for the first time..! This was inspired by a post by @mapetidye . What about your categories?? Today is Estonian Independence Day, so here is some info on it compared to Finnish! Things from last year but also quite a few new things!! What about you?? 🇫🇮 Got a Finnish Assimil & you can get a discount for Uötimate language books (link in bio) - not sure this is gonna be my Finnish year as I sang to keep sticking on Japanese (now on a break ish due to no time). Luckily Scandinavian languages are a no brainer and i can read anything in them !! Last slide are books I kinda started but have no time for them and i practice by practicing them #polyglot #languagelearning #languagestudy #polyglotcommunity
