Nordic cuisine in Japan | 日本で北欧スタイルカフェ/レストラン

The Japanese take things from other cultures and make them look prettier. So I have been collecting all Nordic cafes, restaurants, bakeries and eateries in Japan I could find. 日本にある北欧風のカフェ、レストラン、パン屋、飲食店を片っ端から集めてみました。日本で本格的な北欧料理を体験しよう！

Sweden ・スウェーデン料理

IKEA is present in Japan, and you can enjoy the classic meatballs there, but also some classic IKEA items with a Japanese twist. For example, sweet potato soft ice cream.　イケアでは、ミートボール、カルダモンロール、スウェーデン風ホットドッグといった安いスウェーデン料理を味わうことができます。

• lilla dalarna – Roppongi (Tokyo): fish and meat main courses, Jansson’s temptation… They organise Kräftskiva parties, and have Semla during the related seasons! 東京・六本木の北欧料理「リラ・ダーラナ」には北欧風の魚料理と肉料理のメインコースやジャガイモと魚のグラタン「Jansson’s temptation」。夏にはスウェーデン式のザリガニ・パーティー「Kräftskiva」を開き、冬にはスウェーデンの菓子パン「Semla」を味わうことができます
• ALLT GOTT Kichijoji (Tokyo). Around since 2002! Fish, meatballs, Icelandic lamb steak. 東京・吉祥寺で2002年から営業している「アルトゴット」。北欧風の魚料理、ミートボール、アイスランド産ラムステーキ

• lillakatten ‐ Zushi (Kanagawa): Swedish cookies, buns, cakes as prinsesstårta and smulpaj, vaniljhjärta, lussekatter, semla．神奈川県・逗子のスウェーデン菓子「リッラ・カッテン」はスウェーデンのクッキーかケーキを作ります。
• fikafabriken – Setagaya (Tokyo): also specialized in cookies (among which a cute dala horse one), buns and cakes. 東京・世田谷の「フィーカファブリーケン」にもスウェーデンスタイルクッキとケーキと菓子パンを味わうことができます。かわいいDala馬のクッキも買えます！

• Nicolai Bergmann NOMU – Aoyama, Azabudai, Hakone: Danish breakfast (with rye bread, butter, cheese, hard-boiled egg, jam). Long smørrebrød slices (apple chicken,• roast beef&mashed potatoes, salmon&egg salad, carrot&miso), cardamom buns, drømmekage/Danish dream cake．青山・麻布台・箱根にある「ニコライバーグマン ノム」では、デンマーク風の朝ごはん（ライ麦パン、バター、チーズ、ゆで卵、ジャム）か昼ご飯のオーペンサンドイッチをお楽しみいただけます。デサートはカルダモンデンロールやDrømmekage（デンマーク語で「夢のケーキ」）

• Jensen ｰ Shibuya (Tokyo): the Japanese owner studied in Denmark to become a baker, selling in his bakery typical Danish Rye bread and viennoiserie and pastries as spandauer, smørbirkes, æblestænger, hindbær, toscakage, smørkage, medaljer… 東京・渋谷にあるパン屋「イエンセン」の店主はデンマークで修業し、本格的なデニッシュペストリーを作っています。
• BRØD Nordic sourdough bakery– Shibuya/Hiroo (Tokyo): Owner Kristina Ganea Bertelsen started selling sourdough bread in Tokyo after her child could not digest Japanese bread. 東京・渋谷　（広尾駅）にあるサワードウベーカリー「ブロッド」でデンマークの技と心で焼く、ライ麦パンを買えます.

Norway・ノルウェー料理

• Fuglen – Tokyo/Fukuoka/Kyoto: founded in Oslo in 1963, in Japan since 2014. Nordic roastery by day and drink bar with Norwegian spirit cocktails by night, it also offers Sourdough bread, Brødskive med brunost (toast with Norwegian brown cheese). 「フグレン」はオスロに1963年に創業しました2012年。初めての海外支店を東京にオープンしました。今、東京の浅草と福岡と京都にも支店がございます。デイタイムは果実味を表現するノルディックローストのコーヒーを楽しみ、ナイトタイムは、ノルウェーのスピリッツを使ったカクテルなどを提供するカクテルバーとして. Fuglenで、ノルウェー産ヤギのブラウンチーズトーストも味わうことができます。

OSLO Coffe is a Japanese cafe chain which does not really serve Nordic nor Norwegian dishes, despite the name, but still has a few Nordic-inspired items: ostkaka, semla, lingonberry juice, quiche with salmon & Danish cheese (along with other European desserts as Strudel and Sachertorte). 「OSLO Coffee」は、実は北欧のカフェチェーンではありません。名前がノルウェー風なだけです。それでも、「Ostkaka」（スウェーデン風チーズケーキ）、セムラ、リンゴンベリージュース、サーモンとデンマーク産チーズのキッシュが食べられます。（さらにはオーストリアのシュトゥルーデルやザッハトルテがある）

Finland・フィンランド料理

• CAFE AALTO – Shin-Maru building, Tokyo station: chain from Helsinki, since 2025 in Japan! With iittala tableware, and artworks exhibited in the store. Set with salmon soup, salad , bun or cake (wild blueberry tart available!), salmon/herring open sandwich, shrimp croissant sandwich.　東京駅の新丸ビルにある「CAFE AALTO」はフィンランド・ヘルシンキで人々から愛されている。フィンランドスタイルのシナモンロールやブルーベリータルト、サーモンスープ、ノルディックサーモンのコールドサンドなどをご提供します。
• Mikon Finland shop & cafe – Nikowa-Shinkoiwa. You can enjoy their Salmon soup, mushroom soup, makaronilaatikko (pasta gratin), kana sieni kastike (chicken mushroom sauce on rice), meatballs, carelian pie, blueberry pie, apricot cake.　Sells Finnish products as Marimekko, Fazer, Moomin… and holds Finnish cuisine workshops among others! 新小岩にミコンフィンランドショップ&カフェでフィンランド料理を味わうことができます（フィンランドスタイルのシナモンロールやブルーベリータルト、サーモンスープ、キノコのスープ、「makaronilaatikko」 (パスタ グラタン)、「kana sieni kastike」 (鶏のキノコ ソースをご飯にのせたもの)、ミートボール、カレリアン パイ）。フィンランドブランドの製品も購入できます (Marimekko, Fazer, ムーミン)。
• Rajakivi Nordic cafe – Nagoya: serves Finnish pancakes with cheese and jam, smørrebrød, Finnish cinnamon buns, Swedish cakes as Toscakaka, rabarberkaka, kladdkaka, Silviakaka.　名古屋市の金山にある「ラヤキヴィ」北欧カフェでフィンランド風パンケーキ、smørrebrødオープンサンド、フィンランドスタイルのシナモンロール、スウェーデン風ケーキ味わうことができます。

• maijan pullat: Tokyo, Mainly Korvapuusti (Finnish cinnamon bun) and Carelian pies. affiliated with JUHLA (Finnish-Estonian music shop with a cafe & events).　東京・文京区千駄木にある🇫🇮音楽屋 @juhlatokyo を拠点に、「マイヤンプッラ」はこだわりのシナモンロールとカルヤランピーラッカを焼いています。
• Raimugi House Bakery – Kamakura: founded by a Japanese-Finnish couple in 2017. You can try their rye bread, Finnish buns as korvapuusti & kanelipitko, Karelian pies with salmon and potato fillings. 2017から職人鎌倉にある「ライ麦ハウス」ベカリー、パン屋さんはフィンランド人です。
• hyvää Matkaa! buns and typical Finnish pastries as laskiaispulla, runebergin torttu, and Christmas classic joulutorttu. 「ヒュバ マトカ 」(フィンランド語で「よい旅を！」)ではシナモンロールとほかのフィンランドの本格的なペストリー食べられます。

Baltic countries・バルト三国：エストニア、ラトビア、リトアニア

Baltic Forest バルトの森: organisation to promote baltic culture, with a shop selling honey cake, cooking workshops with cold soup, language courses! – author @estonianavi.

RUJA+285BLUE, Osaka: cafe and shop founded in 2025 by a Japanese couple in love with Estonia, selling Estonian products as Kalev chocolate and fashion brands.
Set of Muigikapsus (Estonian soup of pork, cabbage, carrot, barley), Estonian open sandwich with Munavoi (egg butter), salmon, herring. Sets with savory oatmeal, cinnamon/cardamom bun, salad, leivasupp (dessert of rye bread), Vastiakukkel (Estonian semla!)

Iceland・アイスランド

Iceland Market is a shop in Nagoya, selling beauty products. It used to have a restaurant too, now unfortunately closed! I mentioned it in this post about Puffins, as Puffins are very present there as a symbol/mascot for Iceland!•
